Parpan was launched in 2020 by Lyon Bakery - a longtime leading artisan bakery in Washington DC. 

For decades, leading restaurants and premier hotel chains have relied upon Lyon for the highest quality fresh breads. But as demand grew beyond Lyon’s fresh bread delivery capacity, the idea for a new frozen bread company was born.

With a multimillion-dollar investment in state-of-the-art processing equipment to increase production capabilities, Parpan is now bringing artisan quality frozen breads to the marketplace nationwide.

Whether used for simple sandwiches or as a delicious compliment to full-course dinners, our clients know they can rely on our products to consistently deliver quality, flavor, perfect texture with a diligent focus on food safety.

Par Baked = Fresh Baked


Our par-baked products are baked to a precise point just before finishing, and then flash-frozen and sealed to lock in their freshness and moisture. They will stay fresh in any freezer for five months on average.  

When the product is needed, simply thaw it and either enjoy as is or bake it for an additional 5 to 15 minutes. 

Use regular oven equipment - no complicated overnight thawing, proofing, standing or docking are required

Finishing the bread in an oven allows the bread to reach fresh-baked perfection, providing a fully chewy interior and crispy exterior. The crust will also caramelize to a rich golden color and give you that unmistakable fresh-from-the-oven taste and smell.

Parpan’s baking process starts and ends with integrity. The best product can only be made with proper mixing, fermentation, dough handling and baking. We blend traditional fermentation and processes with cutting edge technology, investing in high quality bakery equipment that allows us to have the necessary long fermentation and a true hearth bake. 

Parpan employs a large team of skilled artisan bakers along with several food manufacturing engineers and together they ensure our high standard of production.

We also take a rigorous approach to food safety at Parpan. Our team of experienced and certified professionals continuously oversee the production to curtail food safety risks.

Our production process is certified by the SQF Food Safety Code program - an exacting food safety certificate that is recognized world-wide and ensures our products are of the highest and safest quality.

Our facility also boasts GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) established in the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations).

With an unwavering attention to detail and process, we are committed to the craft and consistency of our products and to always providing our clients with outstanding service.
